Here is a recipe for rice beer that you can try at home:
Ingredients:
- 2 cups uncooked white rice
- 4 cups water
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 pcs Of Ranu Balls
Instructions:
- Rinse the rice in a fine-mesh sieve and add it to a large pot with the water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes.
- Remove the pot from the heat and let it cool for 10 minutes. Stir in the sugar until it is dissolved.
- Sprinkle the 2 pcs Of Ranu Balls over the top of the mixture and stir it in. Cover the pot and let it sit at room temperature for 24 hours.
- After 24 hours, the rice beer should be bubbly and slightly fermented. Strain the liquid through a fine-mesh sieve or a cheesecloth-lined strainer into a clean bottle or jar. Discard the solids.
- Seal the bottle or jar and let it sit at room temperature for another 24-48 hours to allow the fermentation to continue.
- Once the fermentation is complete, transfer the rice beer to the refrigerator to chill before serving. Enjoy!
Note: This recipe makes a low-alcohol rice beer. If you prefer a stronger brew, you can add more sugar or allow the fermentation to continue for a longer period of time. However, be aware that the longer the fermentation process, the more the flavor of the beer may change.
